Steering Committee Nomination Update

KCI is pleased to share the results and next steps from our Electoral Officer, Herb Rice:

1. Elder Representative: Lindsay Leborgne has been elected by acclamation.

2. Community Representatives: Four nominees have been put forward for the 3 available Community Representative seats:

   
   • Carly Gilbert
   • Hawi Jacobs
   • Alex Rice
   • Teka Everstz

   
   An election will be held, with the date, time, and location to be announced shortly.

3. Youth Representative: No nominations were received for the Youth Representative position.

4. Call for Youth Representative Nominations: KCI is issuing a renewed call for candidates for the Youth Representative seat.
   Nominations must be emailed to Electoral Officer Herb Rice at rice_herb@hotmail.com by 4:00 PM on Friday, November 21st, 2025.

   Submissions must include:

   • The nominee’s name, phone number, and email address

   • The names and phone numbers of the nominator and seconder
